When it comes to wedding makeup, there are the brides-to-be who would like a professional to take care of everything for them on the day, with no stresses and no timescales to worry about. During a makeup lesson specifically tailored for brides, I can show you the best techniques to apply your makeup so that it looks beautiful and lasts all day without looking or feeling heavy or cakey. There are extra steps you need to take and also little tricks that will enhance your makeup and take it from a normal day look to a radiant bridal look.
We want to ensure the colours being used are not only perfect against your skin tone, hair colouring, and eyes, but enhance what you have, making your eyes pop a little bit more. Your makeup needs to be the talking point for the right reasons; choosing the wrong colours can ruin the whole look, so it is imperative that we carefully assess and select the best shades for you.
Meet Rebecca. She wanted to create her own bridal makeup but still keep it natural and soft. The goal was to subtly enhance the way she looked naturally so she could still recognise herself and not feel like she was wearing makeup. During the lesson, I demonstrated one side of the face and asked her to replicate it on the other side. She very much wanted a natural-looking eye and to keep the skin as “skin-like” as possible. She did incredibly well considering she was not normally a makeup wearer.
After the lesson, she felt confident that she could recreate the look and was, of course, really happy with how it turned out.
