How To D.I.Y Your Wedding Makeup
If you are doing your own wedding makeup and wondering what products to use, here is a roundup of products I love.
Slight changes would need to be made depending on your skin type, the colour of your eyes, and your skin undertones, but feel free to take this as a guide in the right direction.
All the products below are used on my current bridal clients and layer beautifully. Two things to consider when applying your wedding makeup are ensuring you prep your skin well with your skincare products and blending each layer of makeup.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
This foundation is perfect for all skin types. even oily and combination skin. You will want to prep these skin types with a mattifying primer beforehand.
The finish is satin with a natural, healthy sheen that replicates the look of skin. Best applied with in two thin layers blended well with either a buffing brush or damp sponge.
You will achieve medium coverage, which is buildable, and it comes in a huge shade range suitable for your undertone and skin tone.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
An affordable concealer that has great coverage and a hydrating finish. This product conceals redness, flaws, and blemishes.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish
This is one of the best pressed face powders you can buy. It blurs your pores and sets your makeup beautifully.
Overall, this will leave a soft-focus finish to the skin and does not look cakey.
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Bronzer
The perfect satin-finish bronzer that leaves a subtle warmth to your skin. It is a smooth formula and applies beautifully.
It is a little difficult to get hold of, but if you can grab this bronzer you will not regret it.
Dior Rouge Blush
Available in both a matte or healthy glow finish, this blush is long-wearing and has a beautiful colour pay-off on the skin.
The formula is soft, lightweight, and silky. I always recommend investing more money in powder products for their quality.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
If you want that lit-from-within finish, add a luxurious sheen to your skin with this palette.
The powders create a soft-focused finish that looks flattering in all light. Achieve a radiant complexion without looking overdone.
MAC Paint Pot
A highly recommended eye base to use prior to powder eyeshadows. In place of an eye primer, this product will cover all dark tones and redness on the eyelid. This creates the perfect blank canvas.
The paint pot dries down and will hold all of your eyeshadow in place, creating long-wearing eye makeup.
TARTE Tartelette In Bloom Eyeshadow
A perfect selection of neutral eyeshadows in both matte and shimmer finishes.
The quality of the powders makes the eyeshadows blend well and easily on the lid. The formula is long-wearing and suitable for sensitive eyes.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
If you struggle to get a natural curl to your lashes, this mascara is amazing. It curls the lashes and holds them for 12 hours.
The brush separates the lashes, which prevents clumping of the mascara. Although this is not a waterproof formula, it is water-resistant.
Laura Mercier Eyebrow Pencil
This eyebrow pencil has a wax/powder formula that easily applies to the skin and offers a texture that is firm enough to create the tiniest lines.
This is a must-have product for any brow lover who wants to achieve an easy and natural finish.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks
A brand that offers a lipstick finish for everyone. The formula of each lipstick is amazing, though my absolute favourite finishes are from K.I.S.S.I.N.G. and Hot Lips 2.
Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray
If you want peace of mind that your makeup will stay in place all day, using this setting spray will hold everything in place.
This spray is waterproof, smudge-proof, and transfer-resistant.

The ZOEVA brushes last for years when looked after and washed regularly. They are so soft to touch and blend makeup well. What I love about them the most is that they reshape without problem, so you will never get bristles drying out of place.
